Deliverable Type:
Students will be taught in an interactive way while learning to play their favourite songs on demand
 
Workshop Outline:
After the sessions, the students will be aware of:
How to hold a guitar, and what the different parts are
How to tune a guitar
How to play the major scale, otherwise known as Sa Re Ga Ma
How to play songs like happy birthday using Sa Re Ga Ma
How to strum the guitar
 
Description:
Playing any instrument at a young age adds benefits like hand-eye co-ordination, communication skills, patience and perseverance, but most importantly it is an extremely fun activity. The guitar is a western string instrument and is used in music across the globe in different cultures. The sessions aim to teach the child basics of guitar, and how to use it to play a few simple songs.
