Rashmi Bansal, counted amongst the top business writers of the country, is an Indian non-fiction writer, entrepreneur and a youth expert. She graduated in Economics from Sophia College, Mumbai and completed her MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. On graduating from IIM, she first worked as a brand manager for the Times of India. After developing a youth page for The Independent, she went on to found JAM (Just Another Magazine), a youth magazine in collaboration with her husband Yatin Bansal. She is currently a visiting professor at Ashoka University.

Rashmi was inspired to write her first book by Rakesh Basant, a professor at IIM Ahmedabad, Stay Hungry Stay Foolish, on 25 MBAs from IIM Ahmedabad who went on to create successful businesses, was a runaway success. The book, an initiative by the Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) at IIMA, has sold over 500,000 copies and has been translated into 11 languages.
Her other popular titles include Connect the Dots, I Have a Dream, Take Me Home, God’s Own Kitchen and Touch the Sky, all are concerned with entrepreneurship with advice on how to succeed. Rashmi’s 10th book Shine Bright – Inspiring Stories of CEOS who are Intrapreneurs launched on 20th May 2019. She frequently illustrates her ideas with accounts of those who have risen to unexpected heights.
Rashmi has been a columnist on Rediff.com as well as a regular contributor to Businessworld and Business Today magazines. She has also been Consulting Editor with business news channel Bloomberg UTV where she hosted India’s first call-in show on career.
Rashmi mentors numerous students and young entrepreneurs and has spoken at various corporates and institutes of national and international repute namely, IIM Ahmedabad, ISB Hyderabad and Kellogg School of Management.
